1. Dam-break Problem using LS-DYNA: Cylinders are of square cross-section, and flexible material. This study demonstrates the capabilities of LS-DYNA in handling the fluid-structure, structure-structure, structure-rigid body (box) interaction. This simulation was a collaborative effort of the research group of Prof. Solomon Yim at Oregon State University.
1.1 Flexibile Single Cylinder Model
1.2 Flexible Double Cylinder Model
2. Model of the Wave Basin in Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory at OSU (using LS-DYNA):
2.1 Dam Break & Contours of Fluid Density
2.2 Dam Break & Isosurfaces of Fluid
3. Dynamic Wavemaker with Single Degree of Freedom (using LS-DYNA):
3.2 Wavemaker
4. Dynamic Wavemaker with Dual Degree of Freedom (using LS-DYNA):
4.2 Wavemaker
5. Comparison of DYNA3D, NIKE3D and LS-DYNA software is here as Word or PDF document.
