Hi, I am Seshu Nimmala. I currently work in industry, after graduating with a PhD from Oregon State University.
During the Doctoral studies, I had been part of a research group that specialized in Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI). My research work was involved with numerical methods, modeling and simulations to solve engineering problems including fully coupled FSI, scientific computing, use and development of parallel numerical codes on high-performance computing (HPC) platforms, and calibration of models with laboratory experiments. Numerical methods used include Finite Element Method (FEM) and Boundary Element Method (BEM). Used major commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics/Computational Structural Dynamics (CFD/CSD) codes. I also have previous work experience in the roles of Finite Element Analyst, Structural Engineer, Software Engineer and technical support in both research and development as well as production-oriented/consulting environments, as an individual and in teams (small to large).
My Education and Work Experience was summarized here.

Researchers and students interested in this field may try out the following sites:
(i) Install Linux that comes with lot of CAD, FEA and CFD software for engineers and scientists CAELinux 2013
(One can simply download an ISO file and test from DVD drive of a PC to see how it works, prior to deciding to install on the PC - this can be done in partitions shared with an existing OS (such as Windows); older PCs may also be reused! If you are new to this process, just enjoy the live DVD and avoid overwriting the hard disk)
